Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for approximately 5 minutes, ensuring it's hot enough for optimal crispiness.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings and drizzle them with the olive oil, tossing to coat thoroughly.
Add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the wings. Toss them again to ensure that all wings are evenly coated with the seasoning mix.
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure there is enough space between them for even cooking. Depending on your air fryer’s capacity, you may need to work in batches.
Cook the wings in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes. Remember to shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure all wings are cooked evenly. The wings should be crispy and have an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
After cooking, transfer the wings to a large mixing bowl. While they are still hot, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over them and toss gently until all wings are evenly coated in the melted cheese.
For a delicious finishing touch, place the wings back in the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes to slightly melt the cheese if desired.
Remove the wings from the air fryer, garnish with finely chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while hot for the best flavor.
Notes
Serve with extra Parmesan and lemon wedges for added flavor.
